Nothing But Thieves, Tom Odell, Sleaford Mods and the reactivation of the band Kury – we announce the first pool of artists who will play at Inside Seaside.
Fresh from the release of their fourth album ‘Dead Club City’, rock quintet NOTHING BUT THIEVES will be coming to Inside Seaside. The second headliner to play on the Gdansk Stage will be TOM ODELL, who will present minimalist songs from his latest album ‘Best Day Of My Life’ in a live setting. Gdańsk will be visited by the leaders of the contemporary post-punk scene: the contesting SLEAFORD MODS, whose concerts are an extraordinary musical experience devoid of any ornamentation, and SHAME. Both groups will perform material from their releases this year.
The extraordinary space of the Theatre Stage will host NILS FRAHM, who unconventionally combines classical music with electronics, as well as BARTEK WĄSIK, who will perform songs by Radiohead. Inside Seaside focuses on young faces appreciated by the audience, who are becoming increasingly recognisable on the Polish scene: DAWID TYSZKOWSKI and KAŚKA SOCHACKA, winners of the “Sanki” poll, will play at the festival.
The guitar part of the programme will be rounded off by the Brits from BLACK HONEY, as well as the Waglewski brothers’ KIM NOWAK, reactivated this year. A breath of fresh air from the sea will be provided by one of Poland’s most famous pianists, LESZEK MOŻDŻER. The icing on the cake will be the reactivation of the band KURY, who will perform in its entirety “P.O.L.O.V.I.R.U.S.” – a cult album recorded a quarter of a century ago as a musical pastiche on the Poland of the 1990s. The group will perform in the line-up with which they recorded the album: Tymon Tymański, Piotr Pawlak, Jerzy Mazzoll, Olaf Deriglasoff, Larry Ugwu and Grzegorz Nawrocki.
