For over four decades, Voo Voo has remained one of the most original and highly regarded bands on the Polish music scene. Founded in 1985 by Wojciech Waglewski, the group has defied genre classifications from the outset, blending rock, jazz, folk and world music into a distinctive, original style. The band’s strength lies in its outstanding musicians: Wojciech Waglewski, Mateusz Pospieszalski, Karim Martusewicz and Michał Bryndal, whilst Voo Voo’s concerts – full of improvisation and new arrangements – have for years been regarded as some of the most interesting in Poland. In 2026, the band released their latest album, ‘Dźwięczność’ – an open, airy record featuring, amongst others, Daria from Silesia, Samitra Suwannarit and Antar Jackson. The album was enthusiastically received by fans and critics alike, confirming that, despite over 40 years in the business, Voo Voo remains a band constantly seeking new sounds and artistic challenges.
