Jakub Skorupa blends alternative guitar sounds with indie rock and raw storytelling inspired by his experiences growing up in Upper Silesia. Before he made it to the biggest festivals, he worked at mining festivals and in a London corporation, among other places — these experiences became the foundation of his lyrics. He is the winner of the Grzegorz Ciechowski Award and Empik’s Discovery of the Year, and the author of the albums Zeszyt pierwszy and Zeszyt drugi, the latter of which was awarded by Polityka. His concerts, balancing between intimacy and a communal experience, sell out across Poland. He has performed at the OFF Festival, Męskie Granie, and Inne Brzmienia, among others.
