Hinds are one of the most important bands to emerge from the European indie scene over the last decade. The band’s story began in Madrid in 2014, when Ana García Perrote and Carlotta Cosials released their first tracks, ‘Bamboo’ and ‘Trippy Gum’, online. These raw, charming compositions instantly caught the attention of the music media and fans, and after bassist Ade Martín and drummer Amber Grimbergen joined the band, they began to conquer stages across Europe and around the world. Blending garage rock, indie pop and a distinctive lo-fi sound, HINDS have forged their own style, rooted in spontaneity, catchy melodies and unpretentious energy. Their live shows have quickly become the band’s hallmark, and appearances at SXSW, Glastonbury and numerous international festivals cemented their status as one of the most exciting bands of their generation.
