Hermanos Gutiérrez is an instrumental duo comprising brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez, who create mesmerising, cinematic music based on a dialogue between guitars. Their work blends influences from Latin American tradition, surf rock, Western soundtracks, and ambient music, crafting atmospheric, spacious compositions full of melancholy and tranquillity. The band has gained international acclaim thanks to albums such as Hijos del Sol and El Bueno Y El Malo (produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys), which highlighted their unique sound and minimalist approach to form. Hermanos Gutiérrez’s live performances are almost meditative in nature – without words, they guide listeners through emotional landscapes inspired by nature and road movies. It is music based on atmosphere, subtlety, and a sense of space, which is just as powerful live as it is on record.
