100cznia on the road

LOCATION: Hall C

100cznia, one of Gdańsk’s most recognisable places, has been revitalising the post-shipyard area since 2017, transforming it into a space for art, culture, and meetings. It is there that the history of the Gdańsk Shipyard meets contemporary creativity, and the industrial surroundings become the backdrop for concerts, workshops, and social events.

This year, 100cznia will be featured at Inside Seaside for the first time, filling one of the AmberExpo halls with its unique atmosphere. The festival audience will experience the industrial atmosphere and creative energy of post-shipyard areas – now brought to the heart of the largest music event in Gdańsk.

100cznia at Inside Seaside will become a place where street art and energy meet the festival atmosphere. One of the most important elements will be the presence of artists Krik Kong and Mariusz M-City Waras, who will create large-format works in front of the audience. They will use billboards known from Galeria Layup, which will give the project the character of both a spectacular artistic event and a tribute to urban street art. Their works will become the focal point of the 100cznia zone.

Another important part of the programme will be the graffiti island. For two days, festival participants can take part in workshops to immerse themselves in street culture and try their hand at creative expression. This is an opportunity to create unique T-shirt designs, prepare stickers, and experiment with the bleaching technique on canvas bags. A specially prepared tagging wall will become a space for free creativity and a place to take photos together – souvenirs from Inside Seaside.

There will also be elements that are the hallmark of 100cznia. The hall’s interior will be designed to recreate the atmosphere of post-shipyard spaces. There will be characteristic furniture, a bar, plants, carpets, and neon lights. Thanks to this, participants will feel as if they have moved from Amberexpo straight into the heart of the shipyard.

Another part of the zone will be the BIO–HUBA island, where art will combine with ecology and a sustainable approach to the city. This is where workshops on recycling, upcycling, biomaterials, and urban nature will take place. Participants will learn how to give objects a new lease of life, use alternative raw materials, and take a creative approach to ecology in everyday life.

The hall will also be filled with monumental visualisations of shipyard cranes, which will remind visitors of the history of the place where 100cznia is located. The whole will be complemented by two cafés built from containers and mausers, elements well known to regulars of 100cznia. It is there that participants can catch their breath, meet friends, and feel the atmosphere of the industrial space that has inspired the residents of Gdańsk and visitors to the city for years.
