100cznia, known for revitalising the post-shipyard area, will create a new festival space called ‘100cznia na wyjeździe’ (100cznia on the road) in AmberExpo’s fourth hall. This vibrant area will feature hands-on graffiti and street art workshops, highlighted by live creations from artists Krik Kong and Mariusz M-City Waras.
100cznia, one of the most recognizable places in Gdańsk, has been revitalizing the post-shipyard area since 2017, transforming it into a space for art, culture, and meetings. It is there that the history of the Gdańsk Shipyard meets contemporary art, and the industrial surroundings become the backdrop for concerts, workshops, and social events.
This year, 100cznia will be featured at Inside Seaside for the first time, filling one of the AmberExpo halls with its unique atmosphere. The festival audience will experience the industrial atmosphere and creative energy characteristic of post-shipyard areas – now relocated to the heart of the largest music event in Gdańsk.
100cznia at Inside Seaside will become a space where street art and energy blend with the festival atmosphere. One of the most important elements will be the presence of artists Krik Kong and Marius M-City Waras, who will create large-format works in front of the audience. They will use billboards familiar from Galeria Layup, which will lend the project the character of both a spectacular artistic endeavor and a tribute to urban street art. Their works will become the focal point of the 100cznia zone.
Another important part of the programme will be the graffiti island. For two days, festival participants will have the opportunity to participate in workshops that will allow them to immerse themselves in the world of street culture and explore creative expression. This is an opportunity to create unique designs on T-shirts, prepare stickers, and experiment with the technique of bleaching on canvas bags. A specially prepared wall for tagging will become a space open to free creativity and a place for taking photos together – souvenirs from Inside Seaside.
There will also be elements that are the hallmark of 100czni. The interior design of the hall will be designed to recreate the atmosphere of post-shipyard spaces. The space will feature characteristic furniture, a bar, plants, carpets, and neon lights. Thanks to this, participants will feel as if they have moved from Amberexpo straight to the heart of the shipyard area.
Within the zone, the BIO–HUBA island integrates art and sustainability through workshops on recycling, upcycling, biomaterials, and urban nature, promoting creative and eco-friendly living.
Monumental shipyard crane visuals will recall the site’s heritage, while two café spaces built from containers recreate familiar elements from 100cznia, offering festival-goers a place to relax and connect in an inspiring, industrial environment.
Inside Seaside Festival will take place on 8-9 November in Gdańsk.
