If you haven’t encountered this name before, you will undoubtedly associate bands such as Lao Che or Gang Śródmieście.
The musicians of these formations – Maciej Dzierżawski, Filip Różański, and Magdalena Dubrowska – decided to join forces and together, as Nanga, record an album that escapes the rigid framework of genres.
“When I started thinking about how and when NANGA came into being, I realized it had probably always been there. It just needed to be discovered,” Philip recalls. “Everything that ultimately led to this album happened spontaneously (…). We only planned to release an E.P. of four stylistically different songs with four vocalists. When Magda appeared, and we heard her lyrics and voice, everything became clear – this girl has to stay with us for a long time…”
